Topping the list of the 5 largest vehicles in the world is the Bagger 288, built by Krupp, a German company, is a bucket wheel excavator with a height of 94,79 meters. It is 214,88 meters long and weighs about 412769 tons. It superseded NASA’s Crawler Transporter’s title for largest land vehicle. According to Khplant, it excavates about 240,000 tons of coal a day in the Hambach strip min in Germany.

The Bagger 288 is estimated to be valued around $100 million when it was first introduced. The number will go much higher if you factor in the inflation today. It was built with the objective of lessening the burden in coal mining.
