A fifth of the world’s shipping containers and half of the global annual crude oil supply comes through the port of Singapore, whose geographical location has made it a key cog in global trade. Port operations in Pasir Panjang Terminal and PSA city terminals are expected to be closed in 2027 which will leave Tuas Mega Port as the only port in the country.
