The company is also one of the largest privately held American companies. The company won the contract with NextDecade for the first phase of the Rio Grande liquefied natural gas  project. Bechtel has successfully completed 14 large-scale LNG production trains in the last 5 years for big energy players like Cheniere (NYSE:LNG), Chevron (NYSE:CVX), ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) and others.
