1. Slow Pour Pils

Rating on BeerAdvocate: 4.33

Slow pouring is a long-standing German technique that softens the beer’s carbonation and opens up its delicate flavors. In the American craft beer scene, this technique of pouring beer can be attributed to Ashleigh Carter and Bill Eye, owners of Bierstadt Lagerhaus in Denver, Colorado. Both subsequently created the Slow Pour Pils, the actual name for their beer.

A slow pour is a technique of pouring beer with a side-pull faucet, something that can only be done slowly through a series of around three to four pours in the same glass. The process can take anywhere between 5 to 7 minutes. Slow Pour Pils has been called the ‘Best Colorado Draft Beer’ in recent years and is the Highest Rated Pilsner of 2023 in our list.
