1. Farm Fence

For the farmer in all of us, this is the fence to protect your crops whether those are animal, vegetable, mineral or just a pile of old crop tops you like to store in your shed. In order to install a farm fence yourself, you will need a digger to dig a hole for the poles, shovel, measuring tape, level, pencil, circular saw, screw gun and a hammer. First, you need to mark where the fence will take its place, then you need to dig holes for the posts. When you finish digging the holes, you can start working on the posts. For a fence with three rails, you can cut one rail in two pieces and use them to make the middle rail. The next step is to secure each rail with screws or ring-shank nails, but you need to make sure they are galvanized and an inch away from the end of the boards, this way you will prevent the wood from splitting.
