Vulnerable Employment: 87%

Many employment challenges in Sierra Leone emerged as remnants of the civil war that lasted from 1991 to 2002 in the country. In 2015, the ILO reported that 43.7% of the country’s youth was employed as unpaid family workers, making them a part of the vulnerably employed population.
