Lithuania has the highest suicide rate in Europe, even though there has been a slight decline in suicide rates in recent years, as the government aims to tackle causes of suicide. Despite mental health getting due importance in Europe, remnants of Soviet culture have led to it still being largely stigmatized in Lithuania, though this is improving too.
