Mongolia has the highest age-standardized incidence rate of stomach cancer in the Asia-Pacific region (67.99 per 100,000 population), making it a “high incidence” country by WHO standards. In Mongolia, stomach cancer accounts for 2.78 percent of all cancer-related deaths and has the highest age-adjusted death rate globally, at 28.56 per 100,000. Mongolia is also said to be the country that has most stomach cancer. More than 80% of cases are discovered at an advanced stage, which results in worse outcomes.
