Expat Insider notes that 79% of expats are happy with this balance, and 68% report being happy with their job. The country fares high in terms of quality of life, particularly in terms of the availability of green goods and services. It is also deemed as one of the best countries for safety and affordability.
4. Switzerland

Expats report living a safe life in Switzerland, according to Expat Insider Survey. Coming in at 8th position in the Quality of Life sub-index, expats are particularly happy with the Environment and Climate of the country. The air quality and urban environment is top-class as well. The report finds that 95% of expats feel safe here, but life can be a little boring in the country due to limited dining and culinary options as well as average nightlife.
3. Denmark

Denmark lands on the 10th spot in the quality of life sub-index, notes Expat Insider. The report notes that 89% of expats are happy with the state of the economy, 80% are satisfied with their working hours, and the overall work culture is satisfactory. The country comes in 1st position in terms of availability of green goods and services, 3rd for its urban environment, and 16th in the Environment and Climate subcategory.
2. Austria

Expat Insider Survey ranks Austria in 5th position in terms of quality of life. Travel & Transit (4th), Environment & Climate (6th), and Healthcare (8th) are the subcategories it ranks high in. The report notes that 93% of expats feel it is safe and easy to get around on foot or on their bicycles, making it a safe country. Moreover, 84% are also happy with the urban environment, and 81% rate the country positively for recreational sports. Expats note that it isn’t fairly easy to make friends here.

An international country with one of the best quality of life for expats is Finland. Finland has been enjoying a high quality of life for quite some time now. According to the Expat Insider Survey, expats enjoy both the urban and natural environment of the country. Moreover, 84% are satisfied with nature, and 95% judge the air quality favorably. The country also ranks 3rd in terms of safety and security. In terms of freedom of speech, 77% believe they can openly express themselves here. Finland also ranks 1st in the Work and Leisure subcategory. The only downside to Finland is its Nordic climate.
