Mongolia tops the list for being a country with most cancer deaths in the world, particularly liver cancer, with the highest incidence and mortality rates globally. Liver cancer and cirrhosis together cause 15% of all deaths annually. Stomach and oesophagal cancers are prevalent. The National Cancer Centre conducts 450 liver surgeries yearly and plans liver transplants. Stomach cancer remains a leading cause of death, but life expectancy has gradually increased to 63.8 years for men and 72.7 years for women in 2019.
