The Dominican Republic is located on an island in the Greater Antilles and has the largest economy in the Caribbean region. Its GDP stood at $94.2 billion in 2021. The country attracts a large number of tourists every year as it is rich in culture and houses various types of landscapes like mountains, water bodies, and more.

In 2022, the country received a record-breaking number of tourists at 8.5 million visitors, 32% of them were from the U.S. The 37% increase in the numbers included 7.2 million visitors who flew in and 1.3 million people who landed on the island via the sea.

Other than the rich offerings of the island, tourists flock to the country because there is an abundance of all-inclusive packages found at different hotels.
