BHP Group Limited (NYSE:BHP) is a Melbourne, Australia-based diversified mining company that has complete ownership over Jansen Potash Project in Saskatchewan, Canada. The company intends to invest $5.7 billion during the first stage of the project and will have an initial production capacity of 4.35 million tons per annum. The project is expected to start production in 2026. The government of Saskatchewan termed it the biggest investment in the history of the state when the announcement about the Jansen Mine project was made in August 2021. BHP Group Limited is the biggest publicly listed mining company in the world. The company decided to exit the conventional fuel business in 2021 after it sold its oil and gas business to Woodside Petroleum Ltd and increased its focus on potash under the leadership of CEO Mike Henry.
