Topping the list of the 5 biggest phone companies in the world is undoubtedly Samsung, who shipped nearly 30 million units more than its closest competitor in Huawei. Samsung has been at the forefront in the electronics department and has consistently stayed on top of the smartphone industry as well. While Apple has provided serious competition through the past decade to Samsung, and now Huawei and Xiaomi are in the mix as well, but Samsung has held off the competition mainly thanks to its flagship S Series as well as its flagship Note Series. However, unlike Apple, Samsung doesn’t limit itself to one flagship one a year. Apart from these two flagship series, the company also unveiled a foldable phone which costs more than $2,000. Apart from this, the company also introduces mid-range phones that cost between $200 – $500 and provide excellent features for a suitable price. Samsung, unlike most phone companies, actually saw a very slight growth year on year in Q3, at 2% and had a really strong quarter on quarter growth of 47%. It will truly take some seismic activity to take over from Samsung as the number one phone company in the world.
