In 2022, Australia’s wheat exports reached a peak value of approximately $10.2 billion, according to OEC. This value tripled compared to the beginning of the measured period in 2009. Wheat ranked as the fifth most exported product from Australia that year. The primary destinations for Australian wheat exports were China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and South Korea, with China leading at $2.03 billion, followed by Indonesia at $1.54 billion, the Philippines at $1.11 billion, Vietnam at $990 million, and South Korea at $677 million. This showcases the rising demand of wheat globally, and the strong ties that Australia holds with several growing markets of the world.
