In 2022, Russia exported wheat valued at $5.88 billion, ranking it as the fifth largest wheat exporter by value globally. Wheat stood as the 12th most exported product from Russia in the same year. The primary destinations for Russian wheat exports were Turkey, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Pakistan, with Turkey leading at $2.05 billion, followed by Egypt at $1.67 billion, Azerbaijan at $294 million, Kazakhstan at $286 million, and Pakistan at $278 million, according to OEC. Moreover, the price of Russian wheat’s delivery is reportedly up by $4 to $216 per ton, as per Business Recorder – this being attributed to weather conditions in Russia’s various wheat growing regions.
