Cargill Inc. largely focuses on the production, trade, purchase and distribution of grain, palm oil  livestock feed, starch, glucose syrup, and other agricultural commodities. It is a largely family-owned business, with the descendants of the founder still owning more than 90% of the company. Cargill Inc. reported an annual revenue of more than $165 billion in 2022. It employs more than 155,000 employees in more than 65 countries and is single-handedly responsible for more than 25% of all US grain exports. Cargill Inc. also contributes more than 22% to the American domestic meat market and is the largest poultry producer in Thailand. To date, it is the only US producer of Alberger process salt.
