1. La Rioja Alta Viña Ardanza Reserva 2016

Insider Monkey Score: 13

Price: $35

The 2016 Viña Ardanza Reserva is a traditional pan-regional Rioja that blends 80% Tempranillo and 20% Garnacha, then matured in used American oak barrels for three years. This is an intriguing red with steeped raspberry, balsamico, dried black cherry, iron and iodine aromas, and flavors. Around 50,000 cases of this wine were produced, of which 5,000 were exported outside of Spain.

Established by five families with one common goal of producing the very best wines possible, La Rioja Alta has been the ultimate benchmark for traditional Rioja for 133 years, renowned worldwide for its sensational, age-worthy, and great value offerings.
