1. Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits: Philip Fisher

Philip Fisher is one of the most famous American investors of all time. Fisher’s Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits was published in 1958 and is still considered highly relevant. Although the book is not specifically about penny stocks or over-the-counter stocks, Fisher suggests that investors should not disregard these stocks and should invest in them if they find the right OTC stock.

Fisher’s book is relevant for all types of stocks, from micro-cap to mega-cap. In the second chapter of his book, he coined the term “Scuttlebutt Method” which involves knowing about the company from the people in the company and the people working in that specific industry.
