There are professionals who invent things; there are those who lay down procedures to follow for efficient and effective functioning. And there needs to be someone who can write all that down in easy to understand way without losing the heart of the matter. It’s like technical writers are proficient in taking a complex subject and simplifying it for the benefit of the users. As such they should have subject knowledge, and at the same time, they should be able to understand the language (not literally) that the reader will understand. Some of the most important skills are sound writing skills, emphasis on details, team-work and creative thinking.
