Top on our list of the 25 countries with the lowest female employment is Yemen. Disabled, displaced, and marginalized women and children in Yemen are particularly vulnerable as a result of the conflict, pandemic, and natural catastrophes that have hit the country. In 2021, Yemen was one of the countries with the largest gender gap, according to the World Economic Forum’s Global Gender Gap Index.
