10 Days Left For A Chance to Get Your Dream Hedge Fund Job

Stuck in a thankless Wall Street job with no prospects?

In two weeks, seventeen of the hottest hedge fund managers around will descend upon the Rose Theater at Jazz At Lincoln Center for the annual Ira Sohn Investment Research Conference. This year, an unknown name will be added to the lineup.

The conference has proven in years past to be a public and notable platform for new and innovative ideas. This year those ideas may not be limited to be those of the infamous Wall Street allstars. In the very first Ira Sohn Investment Idea Contest, a panel of judges led by Michael Price and that includes David Einhorn, Joel Greenblatt, Bill Ackman, and Seth Klarman will sort through entries to find the most compelling investment idea with a 12-month horizon. The winner will get 10 minutes to present his or her idea at the conference, and possibilities after that abound.

The winning prize is priceless, to say the least. Although, getting a chance to have your ideas reviewed by a hotshot panel isn’t such a bad thing.

If you’re interested you have 10 days left to make your case. Each entrant must submit an online application that includes an analysis of a favorite current investment idea. Selections can be any marketable security (long or short) provided that the company’s market capitalization is greater than one billion dollars as of 4pm EST on May 20th, 2011. Entries must be submitted by 5pm EST on Friday, May 20, 2011.
