Muhammad Ali remains the most famous boxer of all time. From 1960 to 1981, he won 56 matches, out of which 37 were knockouts. Muhammad Ali played for the heavyweight championship and won the world heavyweight championship at 22, defeating his rival, Sonny Liston. Muhammad Ali also won a gold medal in the 1960’s Italy Summer Olympics.

His fame is due to his performance in the boxing ring and the immense social and cultural impact brought by him. Also, many of his boxing moments like “The Rumble in the Jungle” with George Foreman and “The Thrill” have made him a publicly known personality.
