We are continuing our list of most technologically advanced countries in the world in 2017 with Switzerland that is at the top of the Global Innovation Index ranking with the score of 67.69. Swiss Federal Institute of Technology is the focal point of innovation in technology. It is ranked 9th in the world. Solar-powered plane Solar Impulse was invented in Switzerland, and its invention opened up the space for new ideas on sustainable solutions for travel.
