4. Budweiser (U.S.)
Back in the 1800s, people preferred the darker ales, but Adolphus Busch, the founder of the company, took the opportunity to create an alternative, and began brewing the Budweiser Lager Beer, America’s first national beer brand. Also, during Prohibition, Budweiser was one of the few companies that had the resources to produce a beer under the 0.5% alcohol limit that was imposed at the time.
