Yes, we have all watched Sex and the City series and we all know that this TV program made Cosmopolitan one of the most popular cocktails in the world. This simple cocktail contains triple sec, vodka, cranberry juice and lime or lemon juice. It is not served with ice, but with a slice of lemon at the top of a small cocktail glass. Although many people think that this cocktail appeared for the first time in the above-mentioned TV program, the recipe for this drink can be tracked in the literature of the 1930s. It gained its popularity in the 1970s and then again in the 1990s when Carrie Bradshaw drank it in the series.
