If you like weird and twisted stuff, you are at the right place because we bring you the list of 16 creepy craziest worst things found on the deep web.
First things first, let’s start with what is Deep Web? Deep Web, or invisible web, is the section of World Wide Web whose contents are not indexed by standard search engines. The Visible Web consists of pages which you normally visit every day and there are around 4 billion indexed web pages. Definitely a wide variety of choices but for some, it is not enough. The chunk taken by the Invisible Web is much larger than (already huge) Visible Web and according to some data, it is “estimated to be 400 to 500 times as large as the Visible Web”. To make it simple, Deep Web is a large amount of data hidden behind the firewalls.
You’re probably wondering how to access Deep Web? Quora users explain that when you say you want to access Deep Web, you actually want to access sites that use Tor Hidden Service Protocol and download special software. We will discuss the worst Deep Web sites and some of the sickest things on the Deep Web later on, but for now, it is important to note the difference between Deep Web and Dark Web. These two are not the same since Deep Web is any page that is not indexed by search engines and Dark Web is a part of Deep Web and is known as a place where (among others) notorious criminals communicate and negotiate about human trafficking, child pornography and “business” transactions. Besides to those interested in shady and illegal activities, Deep Web is also appealing to all those who wish to truly remain anonymous while communicating with others. Accessing Deep Web as well will provide you with true, disturbing stories which you cannot be unseen. Speaking of Deep Web stories, creepypastas are the viral copy-and-
Compiling this list of creepy craziest worst things found on the deep web has been, to say the least, interesting. Our staff did not have to dive into using special software or accessing Deep Web since Reddit users shared some of their experiences which we used as a starting point for our research. Then we checked Business Insider’s article on Reddit users’ experience with Deep Web. Since this is a very popular topic, Insider Monkey already published an article on creepy deep web experiences and list of sickest disturbing things you can find on the deep web. Both articles served as a great source of twisted and sick stories to include in our list of 16 creepy craziest worst things found on the deep web. Creeps from Criminal Minds are nothing compared to some things found on Deep Web. Since there aren’t specific criteria according to which we can rank things on this list we, took a different approach. Stories that could potentially be fake are at the bottom of the list. Creepy things involving violence against other living beings are ranked higher and absolutely worst things such as pedophilia, torture, and necrophilia are ranked higher. Number one spot is given to an actual case which shook the world couple of years ago. The reason for this is the solid evidence that the criminals were using the Deep Web to execute their heinous crimes.
16. Who’s Janice?
This is a mysterious Creepypasta Deep Web story. It starts with certain Mark Spielman who decided to work for police department once he heard they were looking for a person with in-depth knowledge of the internet. While he was browsing child pornography sites, he often came across a site with the image of a girl. After trying to find more answers all of his computer files were deleted and replaced with series of images depicting “Janice” with different facial expressions. Eventually, images showed a man cutting the girl’s stomach rip open and girl’s dead face. The final photo contained a text message: “Who is Janice?” Apparently, Mark Spielman disappeared and police uncovered bits of these files on his computer. However, while researching more about this, we couldn’t find if the story is true or not. It might be a fake but crazy Creepypasta story.
15. The Man in the Wall
Experienced Deep Web user, who calls himself personafanboy, was exploring the Deep Web when he came across a link that leads to a video clip. It showed nothing but a wall at first, but then a man appeared who started talking to him. This is another story that often appears among craziest, worst things that happened on the Deep Web but we have to wonder if it is a Creepypasta fake, creepy story.
14. Counterfeit Passports and Degrees
Apparently, many are using Deep Web to purchase fake passports and academic degrees. Majority of counterfeit degrees are copies of “ordinary schools” probably because it is easier to discover false Oxford or Harvard diploma. Some sellers brag about the originality of their copy claiming that their product is perfect for those who will only check the seal and appearance of the certificate without doing cursory checks.
13. Drug Market
Deep Web presents a perfect market for selling drugs and illegal substances that rank 13th on our list of creepy craziest worst things found on the deep web. It is safe for both, seller and buyer since their identity is hidden. Probably the first and one of the most famous black-markets was Silk Road. The forefather of the current online black market of illegal drugs was shut down and its owner, Ross Ulrich, was arrested and sentenced to a lifetime in prison. Despite the fact that mastermind of this project is behind bars, online sales of illegal substances is blooming.
12. Weapons
Black market guns are a real deal but there are also a lot of scammers who want to take money from naive buyers. What to say… There are consequences if you decide to do some shopping on the Deep Web.
11. Illegal Wildlife Trade
The Internet is definitely world’s largest marketplace where you can find anything your heart desires. It is not much different with the Deep Web, besides that it can fulfill one’s darkest and illegal desires as well. One Reddit user explained how he was looking for a rhino horn (for a story apparently) and got an offering to buy one for a six-figure sum. As horrible as this is, unfortunately, it is not even close to the worst things found on our list of 16 creepy craziest worst things found on the Deep Web. Dark Web is truly a place where most twisted minds find/buy their satisfaction.
10. Kidnappings and “Disposals”
One of Quora users explained the things he came across while exploring the Deep Web including instructions how to kidnap someone and how to “dispose” of used “material” read kids. Besides instructions, there are those who willing to do the job themselves for a couple of Bitcoins.
9. Hiring a Contract Killer
Any services you need are offered on the Deep Web, including hiring contract killers that ranked 9th on our list of creepy craziest worst things found on the deep web, which is pretty creepy if you ask me. Majority of them, like “Unfriendly Solution”, accept payments only in Bitcoin, standard currency for online black market.
8. Terrorism and Espionage
It is expected that terrorist will enjoy the benefits of complete anonymity of the Deep Web. Although they use the Visible Internet for recruitment, for detailed and specific communication they usually turn to Deep Web. According to CNN, ISIS is also using cyber-world as its weapon. All of this is possible by using TOR and even the best intelligence agencies are in the dark about criminals’ communication on the Dark Web.
7. Bestiality and Animal Abuse
Since child pornography and human trafficking websites are a common thing on Deep Web, it comes as a no surprise that there are websites with materials such as bestiality videos and animal abuse that rank 7th on our list of creepy craziest worst things found on the deep web. Still, many don’t make a big fuss about this since bestiality is technically not illegal everywhere in the world (there are no laws which classify bestiality as illegal). According to Insider Monkey’s article on this topic, there is a number of websites on Deep Web that earn money by posting videos of animal rape and torture. The so-called “crushing” gained most success and it involves videos of women in heels stepping on animals until their bones break and organs explode. Speaking of sick and worst things found on a Deep Web, this one definitely deserves to be ranked very high.
6. Human Trafficking
Although there are many myths about human trafficking and Deep Web, recent alleged abduction of a model Chole Ayling, re-opened the debate if human trafficking group Black Death exists or not. Some believe that this was only a publicity scam while others claim Black Death truly operates on Dark Web. One way or the other, the Internet is definitely a very useful tool in human trafficking and it is highly possible that the safest way to these “transactions” is through the Dark Web. Some studies confirm this and the only reason while regular internet geeks cannot find “solid proof” or whatever it is because it’s not actually expected from Dark Web criminals to brag about specifics of their “business” transitions on Reddit.
5. Child Pornography
Strong encryption and identity protection on the Dark Web makes it very hard for law officials to get through the child abuse victims. Pedophile network on the Deep Web is thriving but the other side works tirelessly to bring down their sick websites. Personally, I believe that websites connected to human trafficking and pedophile networks on Deep Web are definitely the creepiest, sickest and absolutely worst things one can find on a Deep Web. In 2015, Steven W. Chase was sentenced to 30 years in prison because he was a creator and chief administrator of Playpen, Dark Web website which traded in child pornography and had around 250,000 users. In 2017, a hacker associated with the Anonymous group took down 20% or around 10,000 websites in protest against child pornography when he attacked Freedom Hosting II. Although this is a small win, when you think of remaining 80% of these sick websites, still it is a step forward in bringing down pedophile network. We’re lucky to have hackers who use their expertise to fight crime, in one way or the other.
4. Snuff Films and Live Torture Videos
Death seems to fascinate a large number of people. Those with very twisted and perverted mind turn to Deep Web to find contents which show people’s death. Snuff films that rank 4th on our list of creepy craziest worst things found on the deep web are a specific genre of films if you can even call it that way, and they refer to real murders being filmed. Deep Web will provide you with whatever detail you need: rape, slaughter, torture, etc. Apparently, there are even so-called “Red Rooms” which function on Pay-Per-View but users pay in Bitcoin to watch the murders and/or tortures live.
3. Cannibalism and Advice on Cooking Human Flesh
It is quite disturbing to know that there is a significant number of people who enjoy the idea of consuming other people. The Dark Web offers everything, from actual human meat to instructions how to prepare it. And now, let’s see the top two entries on our list of creepy craziest worst things found on the deep web.
2. Necrophilia
One curious Deep Web user stumbled upon links to necrophilia websites. They include necrophilia porn as well as instructions how to satisfy one’s sick and disturbing needs.
1. Daisy Destruction
Daisy Destruction became the urban myth of the Deep Web which unfortunately proved to be true. It is an absolutely sick and disgusting video, as people say, of a man and a woman sexually and physically abusing the 18-month old girl. It was first visible on the website Hurt2theCore, a site specialized in child abuse, torture, and pornography. “Lux”, the man behind what he calls “Pedo Empire”, was arrested a couple of years ago. His name is Matthew David Graham and he was only 21 at the time. His charges included advising Russian man how to rape and torture children and setting up websites specialized in child abuse. In connection with Graham, police arrested Peter Scully who filmed and participated in the “Daisy Destruction” video. He is currently facing the death penalty for torture, slavery, sexual abuse and killings of young children as well as selling and distributing child pornography material. You can find a video about Peter Scully on YouTube (it includes his interviews as well). Luckily, the toddler from the video miraculously survived. This story is ranked as number one on our list of 16 creepy craziest worst things found on the Deep Web because it is more than real. There is no doubt if these things happened or not and this case is only one out of many which are still not discovered. Deep Web is definitely very creepy and crazy place and exploitation of children is, according to many, the worst thing which can be found on Deep Web. What to say but that this is a sad way to conclude our list of 16 creepy craziest worst things found on the Deep Web.
