Whale sharks rank 8th on our list of biggest animals in the world found alive. They hold the title of the largest fish in the world. While the word shark and its looks might awaken different thoughts, this shark feeds similar to fin whales, for example, filtering the water through its massive jaws, and eating plankton and other small ocean organisms. Biggest of the biggest fish holds the Guinness World Record, being 41 ft and 6 inches.
