12. “Don’t You Want Me” – The Human League
This 80’s duet, next on our list of best karaoke songs to get the crowds going has become an all-time classic. Anyone between the age of 25 and 50 will know the chorus, and would proudly sing it out loud (especially after a couple of drinks). It’s not that hard, really: “don’t you want me, baby? Don’t you want me, ohhhhh” If you’re too drunk to remember that, just go home.
Here’s a video that, in my view, shows true showmanship. Even though the singing’s not good, everyone seems to be delighted by their enthusiasm, and the alcohol levels seem appropriate. These guys rock.
