Many Reddit users voted for English people as the ugliest. Because they are overweight, English people are perceived as being unattractive. When a person’s body mass index (BMI) is 30 or more, they are considered obese, and a BMI between 25 and 30 is regarded as overweight.

According to the poll, which was issued in December 2022, men are more likely than women to be overweight or obese (68.6% of men vs. 59.0% of women). The majority of overweight or obese people are aged 45 to 74. Since 1993, the percentage of overweight or obese adults in England has increased from 52.9% to 64.3%, while the percentage of obese people has increased from 14.9% to 28.0%.
