Despite its large population, West Virginia has less than 6,000 illegal immigrants which is why it tops the list of 15 states with the fewest illegal immigrants in America. Apparently, the reason behind this is that West Virginia simply doesn’t have the low-paying, over-the-table jobs that immigrants tend to gravitate towards, which is why they prefer other states.
