Inalienable rights, as stated in State Constitutional Provision (Article 1, Section 1), include possession of firearms for the defense of one’s family and property as well as lawful hunting. Felons are not allowed to possess firearms and retail dealers need to send a copy of federal license to sell handguns to the chief of the police and sheriff of the county. Also, a loaded firearm cannot be carried in a motor vehicle.
