1. Guanajuato
If you enjoy the sight of brightly colored homes and beautiful 16th-century cathedrals, then you should consider visiting Guanajuato, a city, and municipality and the capital of the state of the same name. This cute little place is very popular during October’s Festival Cervantino where you can enjoy modern art, mariachis, etc. Guanajuato is also the cheapest destination on our list of 15 safest places to visit in Mexico that are beautiful and cheap.
