Kurukshetra, a district in Haryana, is the place where the battle of Mahabharata (described in an epic written many centuries BCE). This is the same place where it is said that Bhagavad Gita, (which means song of the God), one of most sacred and spiritually deep scripture on many aspects of life was born.
