10. Trinitarios
Trinitarios are the largest Dominican-American street and prison gang on the East Coast of United States. Name of the gang represents three Dominican revolutionaries who established the independent Dominican Republic in 1844: Juan Pablo Duarte, Francisco del Rosario Sanchez, and Matias Ramon Mella. These three founded a secret society called La Trinitaria (The Trinity). Gang Trinitarios was founded within the New York prison system, and eventually, it became one of the fastest growing street gangs, especially in New York and New Jersey.
