8. Sao Tome and Principe

We are halfway through our list of 15 least suicidal countries in the world and at number 8, we yet again have another island nation, Sao Tome and Principe. But Sao Tome and Principe is not in the Caribbean anymore and rather located in the continent of Africa, near the equator. It is one of the smaller nations to be featured on the list, and the population of this island nation is less than two hundred thousand in total. As you can see, the suicide rate is low enough for us to accommodate this country into our list.
