Next up on our list of least suicidal countries in the world is Indonesia. Like Algeria and Egypt, the overwhelming majority of the population of Indonesia is Muslim. In Islam suicide is considered to be a major sin, and is forbidden under any circumstance. Of course, the terrorists claim otherwise, but that is not the issue here. However, no major studies have been done to determine whether a correlation exists between religion and suicidal tendencies, but there just might be a connection.
