4. Yemen

According to Penal Code 1994, homosexuality between men is punished by 100 lashes or one year of imprisonment for unmarried men while for married men, the sentence is death by stoning. For women, the sentence is up to three years of imprisonment. ILGA survey reports that the situation regarding LGBT rights is worsening in Yemen since the takeover by the radical Houthi militia in 2013.
