Several conditions are demanded to become a Canadian citizen. To begin with, you must make an application to immigrate to Canada and get permanent resident status. In case you become a landed immigrant and are granted a permanent resident card, you are entitled to live in Canada for three years out of a total of four years preceding the citizenship application.
