Adult prevalence rate: 5.34%
1.4 million of people infected with HIV/AIDS live in Tanzania, and the number of AIDS-related deaths was around 36,000 in 2015. The number of women infected is 6.3%, while the number of men is 3.9%, making women again more prone to this infection. The most important to note is the fact that there is a decrease in the number of new infections, considering the fact it declined by more than 20% within the period of 2010 to 2015.
