The number of people with HIV/AIDS infection in Kenya is around 1.6 million, with the obvious gender gap in this regard as well. It has been estimated that the percentage of HIV-positive women is 7.6%, making them more vulnerable in comparison to men, with the rate of 5.6%. When it comes to AIDS-related deaths in this country, the number is estimated to be around 36,000.
