4. Suicide Forest in Japan
The Aokigahara Forest located in Japan represents country’s most popular suicide location. It is believed that the reason for the popularity of this location is a 1960 novel titled Kuroi Jukai (Black Sea of Trees) from author Seichō Matsumoto, which features a scene of two lovers committing a suicide there.
