The house founded in 1858 now belongs to the Vranken-Pommery Group. Pommery house claims to be the pioneer of the Brut champagnes. Before 1874 the champagnes were higher in sugar and alcohol, but Pommery changed its process to conquer the English public who preferred drier wines. It was then when Pommery Nature was released to improve the champagne world. Pommery champagnes are fine and fresh. Its flag champagne is Brut Royal, bright and balanced champagne with flavors of honey and nuts and a sharp lemon finish.
