Your job might vary from building and setting up equipment to collecting and calculating data needed for the research. In manufacturing, technicians usually help design and develop a product which means that you can contribute a lot with your creativity and ingenuity. Also, you might be asked to be part of quality control making sure that products are tested and checked before they reach your clients.
