Some could argue that this shows the country’s weakening economy, but I think it’s simply a reflection of everyone’s desire to find cheap treasures to make their homes special.

Residents of New York City and New Jersey flock to the best flea markets in the area, and these are some of their top choices. These are where they seem to have found the best-hidden gems. In order to rank them, I used Yelp and Google Reviews, which are the perfect sites to find great places to go. After compiling a list of the best in the area, I looked at the user ratings. The ones with the best ratings went to the top of the list. If people like a market enough they’re likely to give it a high rating, which is indicative of it being a worthwhile place to visit.
Flea markets are a great place to find hidden treasures and special items that you might not find elsewhere. Ikea is nice for basic furniture, but I think in order to make a home truly unique it’s important to incorporate items you hunted down somewhere. Flea markets are also just a fun place to hang out on a weekend and socialize.
