7. Missed the school bus
This may be somewhat hard to pull off, since your parents are going to do their best to ensure that you reach the bus on time. This excuse will involve timing, as you need to delay stuff towards the end in order to convince your parents that missing the bus was a genuine incident and not done on purpose. This is one of the excuses which should not be repeated too often.
