For example, if you have a stay-at-home parent and you pretend to be sick, you will have to consistently pretend to be sick throughout the day; it’s not just a one time thing. Furthermore, while feigning sickness is perhaps the most common excuse, you need to think of a sickness which does not exhibit physical symptoms, otherwise your lie may be exposed almost immediately. Also, it’s easier to lie to just teachers rather than your parents as they may not know you as well, and they also won’t be as familiar with your situation. For example, if you tell your teacher someone in the family has died, that may work on them but there is no way it will work on your parents.
