7. Prison problems
OK, not so pleasant excuse on our list of real good family emergency excuses to get out of work last minute! Not pleasant at all! Just before stepping out of the house, your phone is ringing. After the first ‘Hello,’ your facial expression begins to change. From the shocked one, enraged and angry, to the ashamed at the end. Your older son got arrested for some minor offense, and you have to show up at the police station. If you don’t feel like explaining in details, just tell your boss it’s a serious family emergency. Your soberness will surely make him believe you.
