12. Guests abroad
We are continuing with a family emergency excuse example that ranks 12th on the list of real good family emergency excuses to get out of work last minute. The bunch of cousins is coming from Utah early in the morning, and your sister should pick them up from the airport. But instead, she went running and turned her phone off. Accidentally or not, she left you with a bunch of cousins who need to be picked up. Sincerely, it doesn’t seem like an acceptable excuse to make, but it could work.
