9. Family emergency
Our list of 13 good excuses to miss work for a day just wouldn’t feel complete without a couple of examples of family emergencies. What would be considered a family emergency? There are several up our sleeve: the babysitter canceled at the last moment, your child woke up with high temperature, he/she got expelled from the class, there’s no school today, and so on.
