Medical care of high quality, good public transportation, reliable electrical grid, and one of the fastest overall internet speeds in Latin America are just some of the potential benefits of living in this country. The cultural treasure of the metropolitan area of Montevideo, the capital, is endless. It’s no wonder this country is better known as “a Latin American safe haven.”As for the citizenship, if you are a part of family unit living in Uruguay, you are free to apply for green card after three years, as long as you can show substantial ties to the country, including ownership to real estate, renting an apartment, being a member of their social clubs or having a local doctor. If you are single, the time is prolonged to two more years, five years in total.
